Ecology and Environment, Inc. is an international environmental consulting firm committed to supporting sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship. We are seeking Air Dispersion Modeling Specialists to support phosphate industry facilities projects and regional air modeling for our Moroccan operations. Our successful candidates will be fluent in English and in French and will work with our clients to develop air pollution control technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and select air pollution control technologies for industrial processes, energy production systems, and fugitive emissions
• Develop emission rate and source configuration model input
• Develop air quality reports
• Develop air quality monitoring and sampling programs
• Conduct air pollution control studies of the chemical processing industry, mining operations, and energy production
• Conduct stack height and building cavity circulation/downwash evaluations
• Provide technical direction on air emission controls and compliance with ambient air quality criteria
• Provide supervision and guidance for conducting monitoring and sampling programs
• Support other air quality management areas including regulatory compliance
• Assist in the resolution of air quality concerns

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Atmospheric Science, Mechanical Engineering, Meteorology, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with air dispersion modeling; experience in the chemical processing industry, phosphate industry or mining facilities preferred
• Fluency in technical English and French required; Arabic a plus
• Ability to understand, develop and implement air pollution control and air quality monitoring programs
• Experience directing air pollution and air quality specialists
• Experience using AERSCREEN, AERMOD programs, CALPUFF dispersion models, and MM5 meteorological and digital terrain data; experience with mobile source models (CAL3QHC and CAL3QHCR) a plus
• Understanding of the combustion and control requirements for burning of elemental sulfur
• Excellent writing and data presentation skills including graphical presentation of model results
• Excellent self-leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and cultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and tactfully interact with individuals
• Demonstrated ability with client relationship management and consultation
• Willingness to work internationally in Morocco for a minimum of one year
