Northumbria UniversityLecturer/Senior Lecturer in Environmental ManagementSalary: Lecturer £31,514 - £35, 469; Senior Lecturer £36,533 - £44,931The School has over 1500 students on a range of full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and is seeking to make a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer appointment in Environmental Management from September 2009 or as soon as practicable thereafter. We are looking for somebody with expertise in countryside management who can draw links between this core area of activity and parallel work in ecology/environmental science and sustainable development. You will be expected to teach countryside management and support other core environmental management strands. In addition we are looking for somebody who can undertake employer engagement activity with a view to the development of professional provision and work-related or work-based learning, building on the many links which members of the Environmental Management team have in the region and beyond. The successful applicant will work as part of a closely-knit team and will be expected to undertake research that complements the activities of the School. The successful applicant should have a good Honours degree and a higher degree in a relevant subject area.
