Following the promotion of the current CEO to lead the World Green Building Council, there is now a unique opportunity to work with this successful and still evolving industry organisation to continue to build on the achievements of the past four years since its inception.

The New Zealand Green Building Council is a not for profit organisation which works with a large number of stakeholders across the country to create a future where New Zealanders can work and live in healthy, efficient, productive and environmentally sustainable buildings. Its members actively make a difference, working collaboratively to lead New Zealand into a sustainable future through the promotion of its quality assurance Green Star rating system which is a commitment to environmental integrity.

The CEO reports to a voluntary Board and works with sponsors, members and business partners to lead national and international best building practice through policy advocacy, lobbying, education and training.

You will be an aspirational and affiliative leader with the ability to clearly articulate NZGBC's vision and to effectively influence across a broad spectrum in order to achieve common goals. Politically astute, and with demonstrated entrepreneurial flair, your strong understanding of organisational issues will be supported by sound marketing and communication skills. Industry sector experience is not a prerequisite for this role but personal alignment to sustainability will be key.
