We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Ecology and Environmental Sciences to enhance our current research and teaching profiles in at least two of following areas: ecological modelling, hazard prediction and risk assessment; ecological statistics; issues in ecological sustainability and resilience; multilevel tropic interactions; population or community ecology; quantification of ecosystem services and/or natural capital.
You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, to support our Environmental Science curriculum, and will be involved in the design and development of a new, innovative and research-informed module in ecology that will maximise the potential offered by online and distance learning.
You will also be expected to secure external research funding and contribute to future REF submissions aligned with Earth Systems and Environmental Sciences. In REF2014, 77% of the School's research outputs were assessed as world-leading or internationally excellent (4* or 3*) for overall quality and for impact.
You must be committed to the principles of equality and diversity in all aspects of your teaching and research. Experience of online and/or distance education would be desirable.
