We are looking to recruit a Principal Consultant for Waste Strategy in our Cardiff Office.

This is a key position to increase our capability to deliver technical consultancy to local authorises and waste management companies. Major roles will include waste strategy and procurement support to regionally significant waste management partnerships.

Job Description

  • To contribute to consultant activities across UK and European offices for waste related projects.
  • Join our Strategic Waste Management Group and assist in identifying key areas for development.
  • Assist in achieving our objectives by working in close liaison with other specialists around the UK.
  • Assisting with marketing and business development activities.
  • Assist in developing our waste related work in Wales linked to strategy and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with the Recruitment of staff in Wales to expand regional PB capability
  • Manage overseas projects when opportunities arise.
  • Technical training of staff as required.

Candidate specification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Substantial experience of contracting by the Public Sector, experience of writing proposals, technical reports and contract documentation.
  • A willingness to work in Europe and other overseas locations would be desirable.
  • Substantial experience of managing and leading project teams to successful outcomes
  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Degree in a related technical or management subject
  • Professional qualification from recognised Project Management or Quantity Surveyor's awarding body
  • Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of qualification
