Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.

Technical Information Manager

Competitive Package

From electricity production to defence of the nation and medical uses, the UK has benefitted from nuclear technology for more than 60 years. Now Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is working to support and deliver safe and secure approaches to the way we deal with radioactive waste.

As part of this work, RWM will be leading delivery of a major infrastructure project called a Geological Disposal Facility for the permanent disposal of radioactive wastes. Similar environmental projects are already underway in countries like Finland and Sweden. The project - to be developed in partnership with willing local communities - will provide jobs, skills and investment for more than 100 years.

The management and co-ordination of technical information to RWM communications and stakeholder engagement teams so that internal/external stakeholders and communities have the capability to access information to understand and engage with our work, within the technical directorate at RWM, plays a critical part.

To help lead this activity, we are looking for a vibrant and talented Technical Information Manager to join our team. In this vital role - working with a range of experts including scientists and engineers - you will enable the access of relevant technical knowledge and information for the business and its internal stakeholders to make better informed decisions, ensuring the right information is provided, in the right format, to the right people, at the right time.
