£29,100 - £33,784 PRO RATA PER ANNUM

SAC is a Scottish organisation dedicated to innovation and the transfer of knowledge to the land based industries. Our 900 staff provide consultancy, research, education and training services to rural businesses and communities via a nation-wide network of around 40 business units.

A rewarding opportunity has arisen within the Social and Environmental Sciences Teaching Group at our Edinburgh campus for a lecturer in environmental sustainability, who will be involved primarily in teaching and providing support to students. The successful candidate will be a team player and they should blend a thorough knowledge of the sustainable environmental management with an understanding of its education and training needs, and have experience of teaching in a higher education setting. The successful applicant should have an Honours Degree or equivalent qualification in environmental management or a related subject, and preferably have a relevant postgraduate degree. A postgraduate teaching qualification would be desirable.

The post is for 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).

The salary will be in the region of £29,100 - £33,784 pro rata per annum.
