Critical to Sky's ongoing success is a solid, innovative and inspiring M&E Infrastructure - helping Sky achieve its environment responsibilities and creating a solid foundation for the business to deliver its world class products and services.
In our growing M&E Infrastructure team we have several key appointments we are looking to make - one being an experienced and proven Energy Manager. This role will be essential in assisting Sky in achieving it's 20% energy reduction target by 2020 and prime in advising and implementing good energy and environment practices across the businesses.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing Sky's utilities across the portfolio of sites and bring together one central portfolio control and consolidation for logistical and budgetary purposes.
- Assist Sky in meeting it's 20% energy reduction target
- Work with all key stakeholders to meet CRC commitment
- Promote good practice company wide
- Reduce energy consumption & financial spend by various means across the portfolio (culture, engineering practices etc)
- Manage utility suppliers ensuring best value for money
- Become a prominent key point of contact/advisory for Sky energy matters
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A proven, established Engineering background - ideally qualified or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Experience in energy management, electrical, mechanical and air conditioning engineering to enable you to take a holistic view across all the disciplines.
- Ideally, but not essential is experience with CCHP, District Heating and Renewable energy sources
- Energy Management or Engineering experienced gained in a large blue chip previously
- Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written with the ability to present often complex information in an engaging, easily understandable manner to often a non technical audience.
- Ability to manage and handle numerical and financial data
- A strong can do attitude and self motivated style
As part of this role you will be required to travel across the portfolio of Sky sites in the UK and this role is eligible for a car allowance.
