SRK Consulting (UK) is seeking a Principal level ESIA Consultant to join the Geo-environment team. Applicants must possess a degree or equivalent in a natural resource related science or engineering subject with a higher degree in an environmental discipline and/or the majority of experience gained internationally, preferably in the mining industry. The successful applicant will require previous experience of undertaking large environmental and social impact assessments and contributing to feasibility projects. Applicants should have some knowledge of air, water, noise, soil, biodiversity, social and cultural issues, ideally with technical strength in one of these areas. The work will require essential project management skills and the need to mentor and guide other staff, as required. Applicants must be highly computer literate with excellent communication, technical report writing and proven business development skills, together with a high level of numeracy. This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the UK and overseas. International travel will form a significant part of the role. Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of a foreign language would be advantageous.
