Job description

The successful graduate will join the global sustainability consultancy Thinkstep at one of the UK offices based just outside Bath. The Bath office provides web-based environmental management systems which help companies manage compliance with ever increasing environmental regulations around the world. Our office has won 9 industry awards in recent years and grew by 40% in 2016. We are now looking for ambitious graduates to join our award winning team.

Over 150 companies rely on us to manage the recycling of their electronic products, batteries and packaging across Europe and globally through our - - web-based compliance management system. After completing our training program, your responsibilities in the EC4P team will include:

  • Advising clients on compliance with environmental regulations
  • Researching new regulatory requirements around the world
  • Reviewing compliance details with the national enforcement agencies in EU Member States and internationally
  • Gathering data on products, batteries and packaging for submission to national recycling schemes
  • Developing web pages to communicate environmental compliance information to the client's customers
  • Managing own time and completing assigned tasks to time and budget

Professional skills

  • Science, technology, engineering, law or other relevant degree, 2(i) or above
  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent report writing skills
  • The ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong IT skills and experience working with modern IT suites such as Office 365, Google Drive and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience of using web programming tools (e.g. Adobe Dreamweaver) with understanding of HTML and CSS desirable although not essential

  • Excellent time management skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Good team player who responds well to constructive feedback on performance
