Biotechnology is a strategically important focus for the TOTAL Group. In that field, TOTAL is seeking a Bioenergy Project design Engineer. The purpose of the position is to develop and participate in the commercial scale-up phases of Total's bioenergy projects.
In conjunction with the other Total teams working in the same field, the bioenergy project design engineer is responsible for qualifying and defining the design of commercial and semi-commercial projects involving biological processes, biofuels and bioproducts. These commercial projects are intended to span the entire sector, from raw material feedstock (biomass) to the production of marketable products such as diesel fuel, jet fuel, polymers and base stock.
The project design engineer also organizes the selection of technical solutions that meet performance, reliability, environmental and economic criteria for commercial application in the project's design. He coordinates the different professional fields involved in the development project's various blocks (chemical process, biotechnology, technologists, HSE, economics, CO2), as well as water resources and liquid and solid effluent treatment and removal.
