Assistant Acoustician and Senior Acoustician

WBM is a well-respected mid-sized independent acoustic consultancy with a wide range of work covering environmental and building acoustics projects. As well as traditional project work we take on unusual projects and expert witness work and encourage client focussed interaction, independent thinking and problem solving approaches to projects.

Our main portfolio of building design work includes leisure and sports facilities, educational, residential and mixed-use developments. Our environmental portfolio includes quarries, energy from waste sites, landfill, road and rail projects. We have a high proportion of repeat clients across all areas of work.

We are now looking to recruit one or two people who share our approach to providing a high quality consultancy service.

Roles: Assistant Acoustician and Senior Acoustician Level

Location: Beautiful rural location of East Haddon, Northamptonshire in the Midlands with excellent access to M1, M6 and A14.

Requirements: Clear, independent thinkers with practical insight, enthusiasm and drive. A working knowledge of computer modelling packages would be an advantage and a full driving license essential.

Assistant Acoustician Level

  • Associate Member of the Institute of Acoustics
  • A degree in Acoustics or a related discipline or IOA Diploma
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience
  • Good spoken and written communication skills

Senior Acoustician Level

  • Corporate Member of the Institute of Acoustics
  • A degree in Acoustics or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience
  • A good track record and specialist knowledge in one area of acoustics
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Remuneration: Competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays, pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and a company car/car allowance. Excellent opportunity for progress and relocation expenses will be available to the right candidate to join us.
