Job Description
As an experienced Civil Engineer (or similar) with a working background in a
Consultancy working alongside Local Authorities and/or the Highways Agency, you
will be ready to take on the challenge of this exciting new role.
As Team Leader / Line Manager you will support the growing traffic /
infrastructure team, bringing new ideas to the team and helping to strengthen
and broaden the company's delivery to its existing and new customers. You will
therefore be responsible for feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed
design of highway traffic & infrastructure including drainage and 2 & 3D design
of highway works including earthwork modelling. The role also involves cost
estimating, bill and contract document preparation and site supervision /
Contract administration.
Working in a team environment, you will attend client meetings and site
visits; liaise with sub consultants and statutory authorities; and prepare /
participate at exhibitions and public consultations on occasion.
Since you will be managing the CAD team, you should have experience with
AutoCAD and any 3D modelling packages such as PDS or Keyterra Firma would be
desirable (as is any experience of drainage design using Microdrainage). You
should have excellent communication skills and any local knowledge and contacts
would be a distinct advantage.
