Senior / Principal Transportation Consultant
Due to expanding work load our client has a vacancy for a Senior / Principal
Transportation Consultant. Reporting to a Director you will carry transportation
assessments and prepare development planning advice in support of a wide variety
of private sector development schemes. You will represent the company at client
meetings and will be responsible for financial and technical management of your
projects. This will include commissioning surveys and road safety audits.
Typical projects will include large residential, commercial and retail and major
mixed use urban regeneration schemes. You will prepare feasibility reports and
studies for planning. Many projects require working with other company divisions
including International on large multi disciplinary projects
Essential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent)
- Good knowledge of UK planning procedures
- Good knowledge of the principles of highway design and traffic engineering
- Experience of the standard traffic analysis packages including TRICS
- Good report writing skills
- Client facing skills
Desirable:
- Detailed traffic signal design and specification
- Experience of MOVA, VISSIM, SATURN. Paramics
- Experience of Highways Agency schemes
