The company:
Nationally recognised company is seeking to recruit an Associate Director
within their Transport Planning department to generate and direct public sector
transport planning projects in Scotland. The purpose of this executive is to win
public sector projects and develop working relationships with Scotland’s public
sector transport bodies including Transport Scotland, Scottish Executive,
Regional Transport Partnerships and Local Authorities.
The requirements:
- Applicants should have a degree (or equivalent) and a relevant
professional qualification.
You will need a thorough knowledge of most combinations of the following:
- Transport policy at regional and local levels
- Transport strategy and development
- Transport appraisal
- Transport research
- Public transport
- Transport modelling e.g. micro simulations and demand forecasting
Also essential are excellent communication skills with high standard of
spoken and written English.
You must also have a strong ability to build relationships with clients,
contacts and councils and be able to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail
and high levels of presentation.
