A leading, multi-national environmental consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to assist in the growth of the business in the Aberdeen office. This role will provide you with excellent career progression opportunities.

About the Role

• Carrying out geotechnical design tasks such as slope stability analysis, earth retaining structures, pile design, foundation parameters and retaining wall design as well as project managing a wide variety of geotechnical based projects.
• The role will involve coaching and developing our expanding team of geotechnical engineers.
• Prepare and negotiate bids and tenders
• Compile factual and interpretative reports
• Liaison with client and team members

About You

• A first degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related Geoscience subject is required.
• Applicants will have worked in engineering consultancy and it would be expected that candidates will be either chartered or approaching Chartership
• A strong track record in geotechnical analysis and design.
• A good understanding of soil mechanics and experience of foundation design is desirable
• An ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication is essential to the role.
• Candidates should hold a full UK drivers licence.
• Self-motivated and ambitious.
• A good self-manager of time and work.
• Strong team player.
