A highly successful, multinational environmental consultancy is looking to
recruit several Geo-environmental Risk Assessors of varying levels to help grow
the existing team. This role will be based out of the Birmingham office. There
are also similar opportunities at many locations across the UK.
About the Role
- Undertake and advise on all elements of Brownfield Risk Assessments
- Competent at Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments for human health and
Controlled Waters.
- Adept at carrying out Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments for human
health and Controlled Waters with little assistance; and an ability to
interpret results.
- Develop outline remedial strategies for sites.
- Mentor junior members of the Risk Assessment Team
- Confident in justifying physical, clinical and toxicological input
parameters for use in modelling.
- Client liaison
About You
- Geoscience-related BSc and / or MSc
- Experience in managing site assessments throughout the project cycle
- Fully conversant with CLR11, CLR10 and Briefing Notes
- Good understanding of basic hydrogeology
- Knowledge of UK regulatory framework and guidance is essential
- Ability to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Driving Licence essential
- Good written English
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft products, i.e.,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and risk assessment packages such as Remedial Targets
Methodology, CONSIM, RBCA and RISC
