A leading engineering, design and environmental consultancy is looking to
recruit a Senior Environmental Engineer to play a key part in the busy
Environmental team in Leeds, although varying levels of Consultant will also be
considered. This role comes with excellent career progression opportunities.
About the Role
- Undertake a lead role in the development of the Environment group in Leeds
- Lead single and multi-discipline projects on behalf of the group
- Provide strategic input on environmental and sustainability issues during
planning
- Lead on major planning applications for regeneration projects
- Prepare reports and proposals and deliver presentations to clients
- Recommended planning strategies, promoting applications and proposals
through the statutory planning process, negotiation and representation of the
company
- Co-ordinate team members including sub-consultants to meet project
requirements, including budget, timing and quality
- Develop client relationships
About You
- MSc in an Environmental discipline, such as EIA or Planning
- Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy
- Experience of Strategic Environmental Assessment, Sustainability
Appraisals, Development planning applications and Environmental Impact
Assessments
- Experience in UK planning procedures and legal framework
- Ability to take full control of projects
- Excellent communication skills, especially with client liaison experience
