Job Description

A leading engineering, design and environmental consultancy is currently
looking to recruit a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join the busy, expanding
team in the Warrington branch. This role comes with excellent training and
promotion opportunities.
About the Role
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the geoenvironmental team
- Oversee Phase 1 and Phase 2 assessments, Waste Acceptance Criteria,
Remediation Method Statements and validation.
- Growing the team, management of staff and business development where
appropriate
- Projects include rail, highways, infrastructure, redevelopment, Part IIA
with clients including developers, major contractors, major infrastructure
suppliers and house developers
About You
- Degree in geology, engineering geology, earth sciences or similar
- Relevant post graduate degree desirable
- Professional membership of appropriate professional body
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation, statutory
guidance and its application to site assessment and remediation.
- Experience in the performance of quantitative risk assessments and
development of remediation strategies and validation.
- Knowledge of geoenvironmental risk assessment software such as Surfer/RBCA/
BP RISC etc an advantage.
