Job Description

A leading, international company specialising in natural resources,
environment and transport requires a Senior Ecologist to join the existing,
vibrant Ecology team in Birmingham. This role comes with excellent career and
growth prospects.
About the Role
- You will be involved in a variety of projects which would include
terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats, including habitat surveys,
protected species and plant identification
- Projects could be with either private companies, governments, conservation
agencies or developers
About You
- Be degree educated in a relevant discipline
- Experience of working within a consultancy as an ecologist
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of consultancies within
the commercial sector.
- Ideally you should be a member of the Institute of Ecology and
Environmental Management (IEEM) and be a Protected Species Licence Holder
(advantageous)
- Experience in the following would be beneficial; River Corridor Surveys,
Environmental Impact Assessment, Assessments/Environmental Statements
- Phase II Habitat surveys
- National Vegetation Classification (NVC)
- Assessment methodologies such as IEEM, EcIA, DMRB, WebTag, etc.
