A leading consultancy specialising in Engineering and Environmental services
is currently looking to recruit a senior Environmental Planner to join the
growing Environment Team based in Leeds.
About the Role
- You will be fully competent in your own discipline,
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, and being confident
to share your expertise with others by providing guidance and support as
required.
- You will be able to translate client needs into practical requirements and
to communicate effectively the value of services to clients.
- Be involved in monitoring the accuracy of project plans, escalating
problems, identifying risks and managing requirement changes.
- Lead teams and manage projects
- Provide support to team members.
- Be involved in EIA and in Environmental Management
About You
- Have an Environmental orientated Master’s degree
- Having, or working towards, Chartered status with an appropriate
professional body
- Excellent understanding of sustainability and environmental issues.
- Proven experience in the undertaking of EIA and production of
Environmental Statements.
- Knowledge of EIA/Planning Regulations.
- Environmental Audit / EMS design and implementation.
- Good interpersonal skills in understanding requirements and ensuring
appropriate understanding and delivery from a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
- The ability to balance and organise the varied demands to maintain a
programme of work.
- Good presentation skills.
- Familiarity with the construction sector.
- Project management experience.
