Job Description

A leading, multinational design, engineering and environmental consultancy
requires a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the expanding Ground Engineering
team based in Manchester. This role comes with excellent training and career

About the Role
- Carry out geotechnical design tasks
- Be involved in slope stability analysis, earth retaining structures, pile
design, foundation parameters and retaining wall design
- Project Management
- Mentor and train more junior staff
- Communicate effectively with clients and contactors
- Compile factual and interpretative reports
- Compile earthworks specifications
- Finite Element Analysis
- Financial Control
- Lab test scheduling and interpretation
About You
- BSc in Civil Engineer, Engineering Geology, Geology or similar
- Ideally you will be MSc educated in a relevant discipline
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Previous experience of a similar role, ideally with a major UK consultancy
- Good understanding of Geotechnical Design, Soil Mechanics and foundation
design
- Be chartered or approaching
- Experience of managing projects and ideally more junior staff
- Experience of preparing bids and tenders would be highly desirable
- Excellent report writing skills
