Tutor in Coastal Geography
Salary: £27,511 - £31,866 per annum (Grade 5)
The School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at Cardiff University is a dynamic and successful multi-disciplinary centre devoted to research in the disciplines of Earth and Ocean Sciences.
Applications are invited for the post of Tutor in Coastal Geography / Processes. The successful candidate will be required to teach modules in Coastal Processes and Geomorphology in Year 2 and Geographical Data Analysis to Year 1. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake seminars, tutorials and group work and supervise student projects and carry out teaching-related administrative duties. Teaching contributions are within a framework of an agreed programme typically overseen by an academic member of staff. In addition, the candidate should be able to participate in residential fieldwork and day trips as appropriate on the marine geography degree programme. An ability to contribute to teaching in other areas of marine or geographical sciences would be an advantage.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week). The post is available from 1st November 2019 and is fixed term for one year.
