Associate Professorship in Geography



A position as Associate Professor in Geography is open at the Department of Geography and Geology, University of Copenhagen with 1ts June 2008 as the preferred starting date.

The department wants to strengthen its focus on integrated planning - with specific emphasis on coupling landscape dynamics, natural resource management and planning. The Department is seeking a candidate with demonstrated research experience in the fields of landscape geography, including landscape characterization, driving forces of landscape change, socio-economic and environmental impacts of landscape changes, as well as planning and governance issues at local, national and/or EU levels.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State (http://www.perst.dk/db/filarkiv/12811/004-06.pdf). While negoation for salary supplement is possible, the starting salary is currently up to 392,518 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 67,121).
