The salary will be on the Research and Teaching Grade, level 7, 8: £35,210- £39,610 / £43,266 - £50,132 per annum.

Applications for the post are welcome in any research areas in Human Geography that complement the existing strengths within the School. The post-holder will develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in Human Geography, contribute to teaching, assessment, project supervision and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and participate in School management and organisation.
The School has an international reputation in Human Geography and wants to expand its research and teaching in relation to one or more of the three research themes identified below. We are looking to make a lecturer level appointment in Human Geography. We want discipline-bridging applicants who adopt critical and scholarly approaches to their research inquiries, who contribute to and expand upon the School's current portfolio of supervising, learning and teaching, and who create impacts from their research beyond the academy. A readiness to conduct research in or of relevance to the Global South would also be welcome but is not essential. A readiness to engage with the School's equality and diversity agenda is essential.
