Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physical Geography


The Department of Geography invites applications for a tenure-track position in Physical Geography with expertise in various subfields of Physical Geography (climatology, hydrology, geomorphology and/or biogeography) and with a strong background in Geographic Techniques (geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, cartography and/or spatial statistics). The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2014. Increasing the Indigenous content of courses across the curriculum is one of Laurentian University's strategic objectives. Thus, the successful candidate is encouraged to incorporate material relevant to Aboriginal students into his or her courses.

Applicants must have a completed Ph.D. or be near to completion, with demonstrated teaching experience and research productivity. Candidates should submit a statement of current and prospective research, a teaching dossier, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference.
