Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography/Environmental ManagementConfirmation Path (tenure track)The successful applicant for this new permanent position will have a demonstrated record of research and teaching in contemporary environmental issues, such as land use change, air quality, soil management or water resource management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, expanding department focused on addressing human-environment interactions of local, regional and global importance. We are seeking applications from candidates with outstanding research potential, who are able to work beyond their chosen field of specialisation and across disciplinary boundaries. For this new position, the successful applicant must have a PhD in Geography or a related field, and lecturing experience either in Environmental Management or Physical Geography. The applicant must be able to contribute to and develop papers in Physical Geography. Excellent skills in organisation, presentation, and oral and written communication are essential. The successful applicant is expected to have an excellent research record, a demonstrated record or ability to successfully apply for research funding and the ability to supervise postgraduate students. The appointment will be made at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, commensurate with experience.
