Associate Professor in the field of hydrogeophysics



The Institute for Geoscience, Aarhus University, invites applicants for a position at the Associate Professor level within the field of hydrogeophysics.

  • The candidate must demonstrate a solid theoretical geophysical background with emphasis on electrical and electromagnetic methods, inverse methodology and numerical methods.
  • The candidate must have in-depth experience with methodology developments, including data processing, interpretation and application of the methods in geological and hydrological modelling.
  • Good interpersonal skills and flexibility is required to work in a multinational and multidisciplinary research group. The candidate must be independent, outgoing, and enterprising.
  • The candidate is expected to develop own initiatives within the field of hydrogeophysics and its applications to a range of geoscience problems.
  • The candidate must document teaching experience at the BSc and graduate level, including PhD supervision.

Formalities and salary range

The Faculty of Science refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
