Lecturer in Structural GeologyReference: FGS007ATo support the newly appointed Chair in Tectonics (Professor Rob Butler), you will be a lecturer in the broad area of structural geology, geodynamics, or lithosphere geophysics. The position is crafted for those wishing to pursue research directed at quantifying deformation within sedimentary basins and orogens. We require applications from individuals with skills that embrace some of the following activities: the geometry and kinematic evolution of large scale deformation structures, geodynamic modelling; structural interpretation of seismic datasets, seismology (passive and/or active experiments), and crustal structure. You will play an active role within the research and teaching environment within the School. You must have a PhD in geology or geophysics, an established record of publication in peer-reviewed international journals and a strong research profile with a demonstrated ability to develop and lead research projects. The School has research strengths that include seismic interpretation, marine geoscience, continental tectonics, sedimentology and petroleum geology.
