MSc Applied Geospatial Technology
Designed for anyone who wishes to pursue a qualification in the application of geospatial technologies to the geosciences, this programme will enable you to learn the fundamentals of techniques and tools for acquiring, storing, processing, classifying, visualising and analysing spatially referenced data of the Earth, and their application to the study of the Earth. This includes databases, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), digital mapping and cartography, airborne and satellite remote sensing, digital image processing, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Internet mapping, field data capture and mobile GIS.

MRes Human Geography (MRes)
This degree programme, ACCREDITED BY THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RESEARCH COUNCIL, will provide you with a thorough grounding in generic and subject specific research skills whilst commencing work on your own research project. Most students following this degree programme, in its entirety or only the components leading to the award of a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Methods in Human Geography, do so during their first year as a doctoral research student. Successful completion of the programme (or part of it if you have been exempted from some courses) is a pre-requisite for progression to year 2 of the PhD.
