![]() Open rank position in GeochemistryThe Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University seeks to appoint an academic colleague (open rank, continuing) in inorganic analytical geochemistry. We encourage applications from individuals with expertise in analytical trace element and inorganic isotope geochemistry and mass spectrometric geochemical methods (e.g. ICP-MS, ICP-MC-MS, SHRIMP/ SIMS, TIMS). Candidates who are able to apply their mass spectrometric expertise to researching the formation of economic deposits of critical minerals to contribute to a sustainable future, and/or to other strategic areas in RSES are encouraged to apply. We welcome applicants with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Earth Sciences or allied disciplines. They should be able to demonstrate an outstanding record of research and research communication and demonstrate potential to establish a dynamic, world-leading research programme, and to acquire external funding to support individual and collaborative research activities. The appointee will contribute to our vibrant program of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and will be able to demonstrate their desire and potential to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists and leaders.
