Formerly known as Baker Associates Hydro Solutions LLP; BAHS Ltd has recently celebrated 10 years of trading. We have marked the anniversary with the opening of a new office and laboratory near Cambridge, plus a new office, workshop and warehousing in Cheltenham. BAHS Ltd is currently working on projects in more than nine countries, with Associates permanently present in seven countries around the world. BAHS Ltd provides consultancy services to a large and established client base including utility companies, government agency, NGO's, multinationals, developers, consultancies, drilling and civil contractors, high profile clients and projects, through to private individuals. BAHS Ltd provide comprehensive consultancy services covering all aspects of hydrogeology and groundwater management, thermogeology and ground source heating/cooling, environmental management and full project management. BAHS Ltd owns and operates a wide range of testing, surveying and investigation equipment including a full geophysical & CCTV survey unit and three TRT units. BAHS Ltd is seeking a motivated field geologist or engineer ideally with one or more years of experience to join our permanent team of eight and more than ten associates. Candidates would ideally hold a relevant degree in subjects such as geology, environmental sciences, etc. The successful candidate would initially work alongside an experienced geologist/project manager before working independently or within a team on projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks relating to: geophysical surveying of boreholes and sites, CCTV inspection of boreholes, thermal testing of the ground, collection and analysis of water samples, pump testing, drill supervision, drill logging, topographical surveying, soakaway testing, completing site assessments, completing risk assessment, attending various meetings and managing projects. The candidate shall be required to liaise with clients, manage contractors, organise resources within the business and support the development of the business and new services. We are looking for someone who can deliver projects as part of the team as well as independently to the highest standard, on time and on budget. The successful candidate must have excellent spoken and written communication skills, be confident and comfortable dealing with high profile customers and projects. The role will be primarily based from Cheltenham and will involve extensive travel across the UK and occasionally slightly further afield, a full UK driving license is essential, driving competence will be checked.
