Staff scientist position (TEM, FIB expertise)

at Bayerisches Geoinstitut, University of Bayreuth



Bayerisches Geoinstitut (BGI), University of Bayreuth, Germany, invites applications for a staff scientist position ("Akademischer Rat" in German). The initial appointment is for 3 years, but can be extended for another 3 years according the performance. The successful candidate will have expertise in the TEM or FIB. We expect that he/she will conduct innovative research of essential importance in the fields of Earth and planetary sciences. Extensive collaboration with colleagues in BGI is highly expected.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in earth sciences or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Ability of German language is not required. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae including a publication list, a concrete description of research achievement, a concrete statement of research interest and plan, and contact information of four references.
