The British Geological Survey University Funding Initiative (BUFI) has various PhD opportunities available from October 2009. Our BUFI sponsored PhDs are located at a partner university where you will be registered and undertake a significant part of your PhD. Supervision of your research is, however, shared between the University and BGS.

Also as a BUFI sponsored student, in addition to the facilities available at the host university, you will have access to the BGS research infrastructure (see www.bgs.ac.uk).
