Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometer Specialist / Laboratory Manager

Salary: £30,122 - £35,938 per annum (Grade 6)

The School of Earth and Ocean Sciences (EARTH) at Cardiff University, UK, is seeking applicants for a Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometer Specialist/ Laboratory Manager within its Palaeoclimate and Climate Systems Research Group.

The post will provide specialist technical support within EARTH and manage, maintain and continue to develop the Stable Isotope Research Facility and to carry out research of an international standard using the Facility.

The Facility supports research primarily focussed on past environmental and climate change associated with oceanographic processes and is equipped with three Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers, including a newly commissioned Finnigan MAT 253 and Kiel IV Carbonate device.
