For the first we are seeking candidates with research interests in hydrothermal, magmatic and/or tectonic processes relevant to the formation and distribution of ore deposits. For the second we are seeking candidates with research interests in sediment transport processes, source-to-sink evolution, sequence stratigraphy, interactions between tectonics and sedimentation, reservoir sedimentology (clastic or carbonate), and/or sedimentary geochemistry and diagenesis. You will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded and innovative research programme which includes supervision of PhD students, development of links with industry, and regular publication in highlyranked journals. Your prime teaching duties will be to contribute to the fieldwork, project supervision and classroom based teaching in our BSc and MESci degrees in Geology and in Exploration and Resource Geology. You should hold a PhD and be able to demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. Expertise that strengthens the existing Magmatic and Hydrothermal Processes, Geodynamics and Geoenvironmental Research Groups is desirable as is industrial experience.
