The Scholarship

The scholarship can be used for any Ph.D. program worldwide that is approved by the Chulalongkorn Petroleum Geoscience Program. Eligible areas of study are: Reservoir Geology, Well Log Analysis, Petrophysics, Clastic Sedimentology and Carbonate Sedimentology.

The scholarships will provide: 1) all school fees plus a living allowance for full-time study, 2) one economy air ticket from Thailand to the place of study at the start of his/her studies, 3) one roundtrip economy air ticket to Thailand from the place of study after two full years of study, 4) one economy air ticket from the place of study to Thailand at the completion of his/her studies, and 5) all reasonable research costs associated with the Scholar's Ph.D. research, including attendance at technical conferences.

Qualifications

Candidates must be of Thailand nationality. The Petroleum Geoscience Program will provide a list of approved Ph.D. programs in their chosen field of study; however, the candidates must meet the academic, English language proficiency and other admission requirements of the program(s) to which they are advised to apply.

Terms and Conditions

the Scholar is to work as a full-time member of Chulalongkorn University for a minimum time period of 10 years after satisfactorily completing his/her Ph.D. degree. The compensation package will consist of the standard Chulalongkorn University salary and benefits plus generous supplementary remuneration based on publication of research in international journals and supervision of post-graduate student research. In addition, the Scholar may be required to serve up to 2 of his/her initial years of employment as an industrial intern seconded to companies and/or research institutes as assigned by the Petroleum Geoscience Program.
