![]() The Institute for Geology and Mineralogy of the University of Cologne seeks for a Research Associate in the field of PaleolimnologyThe Quaternary Geology group at the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy of the University of Cologne, Germany, seeks to fill the position of a research associate to contribute to running research projects and the development of new projects in the field of paleolimnology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in geology or a related field, with an expertise for instance in palaeoecology, organic or inorganic geochemistry and a strong analytical background. We expect profound English language skills, a solid publication record, interest to work in a team and to participate in geological fieldwork. A teaching load of 4 hours per week, preferably in geological field education, is integral part of the announced position . The appointment will be for 5 years, with a salary according to the German civil service remuneration system E13 TV-L (100 %). The anticipated starting date of the position is July 2013.
