to be filled by October 2014. Applicants should have an established research record in Earth Sciences and particularly in mineralogy / crystallography. A research focus on surface / interface mineralogy / crystallography, kinetics of phase transformations or physical-chemical mineralogy / crystallography is desirable. The successful candidate is expected to complement the existing research programs of the department, particularly with respect to our general research themes of “Environmental dynamics and global change” and “Earth and Life Evolution”. Successful applicants are expected to teach Mineralogy and Crystallography at the BSc and MSc levels within our Earth Science programs. Qualification requirements are in accord with the North Rhine-Westphalia University Law and include an excellent track record in research and teaching. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
