Senior Consultant for Multi Spectral
Imaging On-Site Inspection Division



The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) is currently seeking an Air-Borne Geophysicist Consultant to assist with the start-up of an air-borne geomagnetic system.


The consultant will compile information reflecting the current market situation of air-borne magnetic instruments, available platforms and typical software. In addition, the consultant will give advice in the operation of such equipment and the processing of air-borne magnetic data. In addition, the consultant will act as “bird dog” during two possible test surveys. It is expected, that the consultant will draft standard operation procedures related to all steps of an air-borne magnetic campaign, such as flight planning, operation, QC, processing and interpretation. 

The successful candidate will have a Higher Academic degree in Exploration Geophysics, Mining Geophysics or any closely related field with special experience in the conduct of air-borne geophysical campaigns and at least ten years relevant working experience in geophysical field works and related hardware and software.

This consultancy will be for a period of 3 months.
