Bedrock Mapping GeologistThe Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) is seeking a full-time permanent geologist for our Mineral Resources section. The successful candidate will provide professional-level scientific and geologic knowledge to conduct geologic mapping and applied research projects throughout Alaska. Applicants should have experience in remote-area geologic mapping, and working knowledge of volcanic, plutonic, metamorphic, and sedimentary geology and mineral deposits. Work or research experience within the discipline of structural geology is preferred. Geographic Information System (GIS) and database experience are desired, but training will be provided as needed.
