at the mid-career to senior level to lead the creation of its new Division of Earth Sciences (DES).

The successful applicant will have demonstrated a broad interest in the earth sciences, with exceptional achievement in at least one discipline therein, and have a strong track record in teaching and administrative management.

The founding Head of DES will play a leading role in Singapore's efforts to envision and to build a broad-based, innovative, modern program of earth science research and teaching. Initial DES faculty will be primarily earth scientists at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, but NTU expects to expand the Division to encompass a broader range of earth science disciplines, in support of its goal of playing a significant role in human efforts to achieve sustainability.
