The Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology invites applications for two PhDs whose topics will
deal with the experimental determination of carbon isotope fractionation in high-temperature
environments as relevant for the early Earth and with magmatic processes in the deep mantle.
Candidates should have either experimental or analytical experience, but most important is a
strong interest in modern petrology and analytics. The successful candidates are expected to fulfil
some laboratory and/or teaching duties. The positions are available as of summer 2017, the
annual salary is 47.040 CHF.
