Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Geochemistry
The Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Freiburg in Germany invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow in geochemistry, starting 01.04.2018. The successful candidate should complement our strengths in petrology, fluid-rock interaction and mineral resources, and is expected to develop research program in field-oriented, analytical, experimental or theoretical aspects of geochemistry. The position (TV-L A13) is limited to 3 + 3 years pending successful interim evaluation and progress towards habilitation (professorial qualification). It involves teaching at bachelor and/or master level (4 week hours in English or German language) and supervision of bachelor, master and doctoral students.
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in geosciences or related fields at the time of appointment, a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, staff and faculty.
