Maître d'enseignement et Recherche" (50%) and "Chargé d'enseignement" (50%) in environmental geology and limnogeology



The Faculty of Science and the Institute of Environmental Sciences (ISE) invite applicants for a combined position consisting of "Maître d'enseignement et Recherche" (50%) and "Chargé d'enseignement" (50%) in environmental geology and limnogeology. The main teaching responsibility will be the coordination of the introductory courses of the Master in Environmental Sciences (MUSE). In addition, the successful applicant will teach environmental geology and limnogeology in the frame of the MUSE curriculum as well that of the Bachelor and Master in geology (the latter conducted in collaboration with the University of Lausanne in the frame of the ELSTE). Expertise in sismostratigraphy and/or geomorphology would be an advantage. Development of a research program on environmental geology and limnogeology, including the supervision and co-supervision of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, will be facilitated by reliable and generous competitive funding from national and local funding bodies.

The "Maître d'enseignement et Recherche" (50%) will be affiliated to the Department of Geology and Paleontology, Earth and Environmental Sciences Section, Faculty of Science (www.unige.ch/sciences/terre/) and the "Chargé d'enseignement" (50%) will be affiliated to the inter-faculty Institute of Environmental Sciences (ISE, http://www.unige.ch/environnement).
