Postdoctoral research position in mineralogy
and petrology


The School of Geographical and Earth Sciences seeks a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in mineralogy and petrology for a project on primitive meteorites.

The post holder will contribute to research within the School's Solar System Volatiles research group, with a focus on the carbonaceous chondrites. They will have expert knowledge of mineralogy and petrology, and appropriate analytical techniques including scanning/transmission electron microscopy. The post holder will collaborate with researchers in Glasgow's School of Physics and Astronomy, and the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC). They will also be an active member of the Scottish Planetary Science Research Network

This post has initial funding for 28 months, and the salary is grade 7, 33,943 - 38,183 per annum.
