To increase the proportion of female academic personnel in the position of professor at Graz University of Technology, the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Geodesy is seeking to fill
one position for a female University Assistant with Doctorate, with tenure track to a position as Associate Professor in the area of Satellite Geodesy
The position, initially restricted to six years and offering the possibility of a qualification agreement for a tenured position, is 40 hours per week and the successful candidate is expected to start on October 1st, 2017, at the Institute of Geodesy.
Required academic qualification:
PhD or equivalent in satellite geodesy or related areas of earth systems sciences.

The advertised position is to be filled at the institute of geodesy (ifg.tugraz.at) in the working group of theoretical geodesy and satellite geodesy. The working groups current focus is satellite gravimetry and the detemination of mass transport in the Earth system. It is intented to broaden this focus in the context of global Earth system studies. The candidate should thus be distinguished in one or more of the following areas: Analysis and interpretation of space geodetic data in Earth system research; Numerical modeling of regional and/or global components of the dynamic system Earth; Processing of data in the general scope of the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS).

The position will be paid according to category B1 of the collective agreement for employees of Austrian universities, stipulating a gross salary of € 4.018,10 (14 x per year).
