Innovation and Grant Advisor

We are seeking an Innovation and Grant Advisor to work in our Science and Innovation team. You will support and develop innovation activities (e.g. Intellectual Property Rights) and grant proposal preparation, submission of proposals, preparation of grant agreements, monitor funding opportunities such as EU Framework Programs, EIT RawMaterials, Business Finland, and Academy of Finland, and inform of these within GTK. Additionally, other administrative tasks pertaining to Science and Innovation team are part of your responsibilities.

You have experience supporting innovation activities and profound knowledge of various funding instruments. MSc in natural sciences or engineering is a minimum requirement but PhD degree in natural sciences or engineering is considered as a benefit. Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for the position. In addition, knowledge of Finnish and other European languages, understanding of geosciences, a broad EU network are considered advantages for the position.

You must be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal, networking, organizational and conflict solving skills. Additionally, you must have experience of working in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments and ability to work under pressure.

You will report to the head of Science and Innovations. The appointment is for two years, with the possibility of extension. The preferred starting date is 1.3.2020 or upon agreement. Beginning salary for the position will be between 3 880 - 4 670 euros/month.
