Post-doctoral Position in CosmochemistrySalary Range: £31,300 - £33,020 p.a.Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in Cosmochemistry at the MAGIC Laboratory of the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London (see www.imperial.ac.uk/ese/research/magic). The position is available immediately for a period of up to 3 years. The aim of the research is to characterise nucleosynthetic isotope anomalies of various lithophile and siderophile trace elements in both primitive and differentiated meteorites. The project will involve the development of novel methods and the use of established procedures for precise isotopic analyses by both TIMS and MC-ICP-MS. A PhD (or Equivalent) in isotope geochemistry, earth/planetary sciences or a closely related field is a prerequisite. Good laboratory skills and experience in isotopic analyses by TIMS and/or MC-ICP-MS are highly desirable.
