Research positions in Geosciences

The Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences (iCRAG) specialises in the research fields of raw materials, marine, groundwater and hydrocarbons, together with enabling research in geophysics, geochemistry, 3D modelling and public perception of geosciences. Established in 2015, iCRAG spans all of the main universities and research institutions performing geoscience research in Ireland, bringing together Ireland's leading geoscience experts to perform world class research.

iCRAG is now advertising the following MSc and PhD positions:

Research Masters Position (MEngSc) in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering at University College Cork (UCC)
Project: Monitoring and modelling of mechanical behaviour of Dublin Tunnel

Researcher Masters Position in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Science (BEES) at University College Cork (UCC)
Project: Understanding the fate of potentially toxic elements in the hyporheic zone

PhD position in Geology / Botany at Trinity College Dublin (TCD)
Project: Deadly kiss of the LIPs - Did Large Igneous Province volcanism cause global carbon cycle change and mass extinction in Earth's past?
